I felt the need to document the new Jackson School construction at Allen St between 14th & 15th St in Allentown, PA I felt the best way to capture it was with a time lapse video, Mostly because the building will take about a year to build. That way it can be viewed mostly from start to finish in only a mater of minutes.

The camera I used is a Canon A75 connected to a PC via USB. The camera houing was made out of a electrical conduit box and a lens hood from a K-3 film camera.

The software powering it is Linux as the OS, gPhoto2, mencoder, and several custom scripts.

It's currently setup to take a photo every 4 minutes during the day and every 12 minutes at night. After midnight it starts the render of the daily time lapse movies. (Hi def 1080, 720, and Standard def)
